Internet is going wild about this idea of #teamtrees and I wanted to be a part of this as well. So here I am sharing my thoughts on this. Also, being part of the ConTreebute, we will share this knowledge as well.
Climate change is real and you will be amazed to know that the CO2 content has been increasing more than we know. CO2.earth has been keeping a record if you don't believe me. At the time of this posting, it is about 408.97 ppm. Well, for a average person this number is not so important but I have a better way to represent this increase in trend. Graphs for our rescue!

Why is CO2 such a big deal?
Well, it's the most popular Greenhouse gas in the market (market is our planet). Look at Venus and you will know what will happen if there was 96.5% CO2 in the atmosphere.
(Side note: Venus may have been a habitable planet )
We are not going to discuss the obvious reasons and all that you already have been hearing and reading about, however we would discover some of the mitigation measures (that you may or may not already know for certain).
How do you think all the trees and plants grow and where does all that mass come from?
Pause for second here and think without reading further.
Soil? Water from the ground? Umm... not so much and only adds 5%.
I think you may have guessed it already, it's CO2. All the trees and plants absorbs the CO2 from the atmosphere and more than 95% of their mass comes from breaking down the atmospheric CO2 which gives out Oxygen (our and millions of other species in the animal kingdom life support) and Carbon by photosynthesis. Carbon adds up to the weight eventually. You may also know not all of our Oxygen comes from trees or plants and there are diatoms, the single-celled algae, which also release stricking high content of O2, but that's a topic for another day.
So why are we not using Trees for our own good?
I think the reason is pretty obvious, we dont care to plant more trees or don't have time and energy to look for the places we can support or simply don't know where to start.
What can we do to help the planet?
Donate as low as $1 at www.teamtrees.org for them to plant a tree. Every dollar counts. Let's be part of the TeamTrees.
Oceans are helping too
There has been some research on the oceans too and how oceans being part of the ecosystem is helping to mitigate the climate change too. A team in Sofar Oceans have been studying oceans and gathering data to fight this devastating climate crisis of our planet. Read more here to find out.
